The Bluebell Smart monitoring system is an innovative baby monitor – think of it as a baby monitor, reinvented. It goes above and beyond and is the only monitor that looks after both baby and parent. It’s been shortlisted in the Mother & Baby Awards 2020 in the ‘Best Baby Monitor’ category. The Mother&Baby Awards ceremony is taking place on 26th November.
Bluebell was created by three healthcare professionals, who are also dads. They combined their medical expertise with parenting experience to create something they felt traditional baby monitors weren’t providing. They know just what parents need and wanted to give them an extra helping hand that fits easily into their everyday lives.
Recognised as “A baby monitoring system like no other, set to take the industry by storm!” by The Baby Show’s own publicity there’s no doubt that the tech for new parents is taking the industry by storm.
The unique system introduces advanced wearable technology for both parent and baby that connects seamlessly to the Smart hub, as well as the Bluebell Mobile app. Helping you stay connected; Bluebell’s safe and reliable technology works in and outside the home (and even in the shower). Unlike anything else on the market, the Bluebell Baby monitor which has an incredible battery life for several days, silently observes baby with alerts to the mobile app and Parent Wristband. The waterproof monitor has a hypo-allergenic soft casing and strap, that easily attaches to baby’s clothing. Working on its own thread connectivity, independent of WIFI, it ensures it also has extremely low radio energy. For baby, it monitors breathing, skin temperature, crying, activity level, sleep/awake status, and also alerts if no breathing movement detected and if baby rolls on tummy.
After launching exclusively in John Lewis, bluebell has flown off the shelves. Design consultancy, tangerine, who partnered with Bluebell on the project, was tasked with helping Bluebell to turn their technological solution into a brand and customer experience and create a family of products and a series of brand assets that could successfully position their business to launch into the market.
The Bluebell team know how busy parents are these days. This is a convenient, hands-free way of monitoring that works both in and out of the home, 24/7. It’s an all-in-one system with many benefits that means parents don’t have to buy lots of different products.
Bluebell launched with John Lewis in August and have had lots of positive feedback from customers, and they’re now in the running for a Mother&Baby award. These awards take place each year, and are described as the “most rigorous awards in the industry.”
