RECARO Rail and tangerine receive RedCabin Railway Interiors Collaboration of the Year Award

Partnering to build a long-distance rail seating concept

RECARO Rail (RECARO) collaborated with Tangerine to develop an innovative long-distance rail concept, leading to their recent award from the RedCabin Railway Interiors for Collaboration of the Year.

After a strategic market assessment, RECARO and Tangerine identified a trend towards long-distance rail travel. This strategic initiative focuses on a new multi-class train seating concept, including Standard, Premium, and First Class options, for long-distance travel on intercity and high-speed routes.

Leveraging the rich history of the RECARO Aircraft Seating sector, RECARO and its collaborators developed a range of seating concepts that account for various layout options based on vehicle sizes and carriage widths. Additional comfort options were also considered including partial and full-recline, privacy dividers, stowage, and advanced ergonomics. Concepts also include a modular seating structure that allows for components-sharing between seat types for a more streamlined process.
