Stop the Copy Cats, Protect your Designs!

Stop your ideas being ripped off by copycats and get to grips with how IP protection helps you throughout the lifecycle of a design at this year’s London Design Festival event, hosted by tangerine and Gowling WLG in London on the 16th September 2019.

tangerine CEO, Martin Darbyshire, will explain how design and technology can be fused to create beautiful, modern, and practical products that will appeal to heart and mind, using the case study of first-of-its-kind Bluebell, a smart monitoring system for both parents and babies.

Bluebell’s founder, Romi Mathew, will set out the practical aspects of ensuring that a product is not just beautiful, but will work in the commercial world.

John Coldham, a leading designs lawyer, will discuss practical ways for designers to protect their creativity against copycats, to ensure their investment is not wasted.

Jamie Rowlands, who has spent the last four years in China enforcing designs and other IP for some of the world’s leading brands, will also be on hand to offer advice.

Bluebell is a first-of-its-kind smart monitoring system for parent and baby. Developed and designed by tangerine, Bluebell is a family of technologies including parent wristband, baby monitor, smart hub and the Bluebell app.
