Exporting Champions: If We Can, You Can

tangerine is proud to support the Department of International Trade (DIT) as an Exporting Champion. The Exporting is GREAT campaign is the Government’s most ambitious, export-focused campaign ever, created to help drive substantial growth for the UK economy. The campaign encourages SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises) to sell their products and services overseas.

Founded in 1989, from the get-go tangerine’s global recognition for creative work grew, with Apple and LG being some of tangerine’s first clients. Over the last thirty years, demand for creative services has soared, with 80% of tangerine’s annual turnover being generated through exports to overseas clients. In support of its global clientele, tangerine set up studios in Porto Alegre (Brazil) and Seoul, (South Korea) and together with our London studio make up a diverse team comprised of more than fifteen different nationalities.

tangerine’s long-time partnership with electronics giant, LG developed great ties with the Korean Market and resulted in 80 different projects with tangerine. This early foray into Asia laid the foundation for educational and cultural exchange of ideas, as well as the sharing of minds between creatives and businesses.

Tangerine’s support of overseas trade spans decades, more recently, we supported the aerospace division of the Department of International Trade where Matt Round had the pleasure of speaking at the UK parliament’s Foreign and Commonwealth Institute alongside Minister for Investment, Graham Stuart. Matt thanked the DIT for their continued support in promoting the UK’s airline interiors sector. Find out more here.

Some of tangerine’s recent international client projects include A350 plane interiors for Japanese airline JAL and retail stores for Korean cosmetics brand Innisfree in Seoul and high-speed trains in China for CRC.

Tangerine’s achievement and success in international design export has been recognised by a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade, for three consecutive years of exponential growth in export business. Find out more here.
