Sketch Off- Battle of the Grads, London’s first live sketching competition for Product Designers, brought together the crème de la crème of design graduates from across Europe to London, where they battled it out to be named, “Best Sketcher “in front of a live audience.

Dan Flashman, design lead at tangerine, formed part of the expert judging panel, alongside representatives from the organisers Adrem + leManoosh, and designers Antony Joseph (Joseph Joseph), Nick Sandham and Richard Seale (SeymourPowell), and Tej Cauhan (Tej Cauhan).

Eight participants from different universities, took part at the live Sketch-Off event on 4th October 2017, showcasing their product design talents in four 20-minute sketch challenge rounds; ranging from a wearable to a bathroom plunger. After four gruelling rounds, the winning graduate, John Glynn, won an internship with the event sponsor and the Runners-up also benefited from special prizes.

“We were thrilled to been part of the inaugural Sketch Off event. The judging panel had its work cut out, as there was some real talent on display!
