Concept car 2003
With the clock ticking, Tangerine demonstrated extraordinary creativity, efficiency and flexibility in helping produce a startling, fresh concept for Toyota’s WiLL car – in just 49 days.
The Toyota WiLL, targeted at young independent women, is a 4-door runabout for getting around, shopping or just hanging out with friends.
Based on the Yaris model, there have been two previous generations of the car.
Toyota wanted to take the concept onto the next level and build upon its success in this rapidly growing market.
Tangerine was delighted when Toyota’s advertising agency, Hakuhodo, suggested a partnership on the project. But there was a catch - they had just seven weeks to design and computer model the whole exterior and interior of the new car.
To hit the aggressive timescale, tangerine moved very quickly into generating hand drawn sketches while bouncing ideas back and forth with the team at Hakuhodo. |
