With numerous aircraft seating patents to their names, world renowned aircraft seating designers Martin Darbyshire and Matt Round of tangerine, have been invited to deliver a talk and run a design workshop for delegates at the Innovative Aircraft Seating Conference, 4th – 7th December 2017 in Hamburg.
A workshop: ‘Airline Seating: Where Might the Next Breakthrough Come From?’, will run on 4th December followed by a talk on the same subject on the 5th December on the main conference stage.
Both talk and workshops will explore the following key questions around how to approach innovation and achieve breakthroughs in aircraft seating; asking:
– In this highly competitive industry what are the points of differentiation?
– How do we identify the opportunities for innovation?
– What are the challenges to introducing new products?
– In a highly constrained market, how do we leap over the barriers?
With 20 years of aviation experience between them, Martin and Matt are the creative force behind the world’s first fully lie-flat business class seat for British Airways, which broke new ground in the business class sector. They work to create exceptional customer experiences for leading airlines and aircraft seating manufacturers including Asiana, Azul, Cathay Pacific, Rockwell Collins, Stelia Aerospace and Virgin Australia.
