Chief Executive Officer
Martin has been inspiring ground breaking innovation and forward thinking design at tangerine since he started the Company in 1989. A design leader on the international stage, Martin is responsible for the strategic development of tangerine, creating new business opportunities and driving the innovation and outstanding design work that the company delivers.
Martin led the team that developed the world’s first lie-flat Business Class bed for British Airways and a host of other global successes. He still travels regularly to the Far East, the USA, South America and throughout Europe, combining his work for tangerine with a worldwide programme of keynote speeches on innovation and design.
He’s currently a juror for the renowned Red Dot awards and served on the UKTI taskforce promoting design in China and South Korea. He is a former board member of the International Council of Industrial Designers (ICSID) and visiting Professor at Central St Martins College of Arts and Design.
He previously worked for Moggridge Associates, London and then ID TWO (subsequently IDEO), in San Francisco.
Despite spending much of his life jetting around the world, Martin’s greatest pleasure is in packing up his tent and heading off to camp by the ocean in southern Spain.
